About Us

Hey! My name is Luke Palmer, I own and operate Cedar Grove Woodworks. I'm a farmer by day, woodworker by night! For me, carving started as a hobby. When I was around ten, I began regularly attending naturalist programs, and soon became obsessed with primitive skills. Carving quickly became one of my favorite skills, and I'd make spoons, arrows, bows, and friction fire kits until my knives were dull and the sun went down!

I started C.G because I love to carve, but also because I feel we are missing quality, handmade goods that last in todays world. The more we rely on cheap , mass produced goods, the less control we have over the quality and safety especially. Providing an alternative to plastic cookware was a huge motivator for getting my goods to consumers.

It beings me great satisfaction to know my products are being used, and used well.
